MLA Connect Coffee Hour: Reopening Plans

Grab a cozy mug of your favorite beverage and join MLA Executive Director, Debbie Mikula as she moderates a panel discussion of how libraries across the state are planning their safe reopening. Panelists will discuss how they created their libraries' reopening plans, important phases and milestones included in their plans, and hurdles their libraries are facing. Each panelist will have 10 minutes to review the major components of their plan, followed by discussion.

Featuring:

Megan Buck, Director, Dickinson County Library

Valerie Meyerson, Director, Petoskey District Library

Lance Werner, Director, Kent District Library

Panelists will discuss:

  • Their phases of re-opening and important milestones.
  • Why they decided to structure their plan the way they did. What factors went into the decision making and who helped draft their plan.
  • What they see as their biggest hurdles to reopening safely and how they plan to address them.
