Submit a Nomination for the Michigan Library Awards
Do you have a colleague who deserves recognition? Do you know a library supporter with a huge heart for libraries? Do you know a library staff member who goes above and beyond supporting library services and operations? Does your library exemplify excellence in customer service?
Each spring, we promote a Call for Nominations for all of MLA’s awards that will be given out at that year’s Michigan Library Awards gala; however, nominations are also accepted year-round!
Nominate a deserving library, librarian, support staff worker, trustee, or supporter for one of MLA’s Awards for recognition at the Michigan Library Awards gala and help us celebrate and honor the good work and achievements of our library community!
We encourage and welcome your nomination for any of MLA's Awards. We've made it simple; self-nominations are encouraged, and you can choose to have your nomination considered for two years.
Learn more about our awards and check out the nomination criteria by downloading the guidelines linked below.
MLA uses the SlideRoom platform for nominations and applications. MLA’s SlideRoom homepage will list all open programs; just select the application you wish to complete and set up a SlideRoom account. You will be able to log in to this account to see updates and submit future applications and proposals.
Please be aware that SlideRoom will only accept one submission per email address. If you would like to submit multiple nominations, you may use a separate email address for each nomination.
Please note that nominations for the Academic Librarian of the Year should be submitted to MiALA, nominations for the School Librarian of the Year should be submitted to MASL, and nominations for the State Librarian's Excellence Award should be submitted to the Library of Michigan Foundation.
