Coaching for Optimal Performance
What does ‘Leadership’ mean today? Coaching! Leadership is an ‘art’ that is learned. Improving communications internally and externally will improve your culture, your business, and the bottom line. Companies that integrate coaching behaviors into their supervisors’ job duties are more effective at driving outstanding performance and ensuring key messages are heard and expectations are met and exceeded.
Takeaways/benefits:
- Learn how to assess their organizations for what leadership behaviors are critical.
- Learn what the components of effective coaching are and how to apply them.
- Learn how to facilitate coaching sessions using adult learning principles.
- Learn how to use role-modeling and role-playing effectively to reinforce coaching.

Coaching and Evaluation the KPL Way!
Effective coaching and evaluation of employees is a proven way to increase trust, innovation, and productivity. Unfortunately, most supervisors at best consider the process a nuisance and at worst, totally ignore them both! Learn how to write and conduct evaluations that inspire your direct reports to move the library forward. Discover how to use regular one on one style meetings to coach your staff to new heights. The Kalamazoo Public Library set out to create an evaluation and coaching system built on trust and encouragement of professional development. Participants will learn how to draft a non-existent evaluation and coaching program or re-think their current program to help all employees to reach their full potential.
