Join Abigail Goben during the morning workshop where participants will tackle these issues and debate if and how academic libraries can use data responsibly and develop strategies to engage with students, faculty and administration on the future of library-generated data. Abigail Goben, MLS, is an Associate Professor and Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago Library of the Health Sciences. She teaches data management and evidence based practice, and serves as the liaison to the College of Dentistry. Her primary research focuses on policies and education surrounding research data. Goben is also a co-investigator of the IMLS funded Data Doubles project, which is examining student perceptions of library learning analytics. Goben is an active member of LITA and ACRL. Outside of library and research work, Goben is an avid knitter. She blogs at Hedgehog Librarian and can be found on Twitter as @hedgielib. 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
