The Columbus Metropolitan Library decided to transition from Readers’ Advisory to Reading Conversations. Join Robin Nesbitt as she shares why they made this change, how they did it and how it’s working.

BookSleuthing: Social Media as a Readers’ Advisory Platform

Sara Doherty from the Capital Area District Libraries will present a case study of CADL’s #BookSleuthLIVE program, explaining the social media-based readers’ advisory service it provides to patrons, the logistics of coordinating the event, and its evolution as a staff training tool. She will provide information about ways the program might be adapted for other library systems, and invite attendees to share other uses of social media for readers’ advisory outreach.
