MLA Spring Events Postponed

March 16, 2020

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) released updated guidelines on Sunday, March 15, 2020, recommending that for the next eight weeks, all gatherings and events with 50 people or more be cancelled or postponed in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

We are committed to doing our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19 by encouraging social distancing and have decided to postpone all spring workshops and events that are currently scheduled through May 30.

This includes Spring Institute and Advocacy Day, as well as the second session of Leadership Academy, and the following workshops:

MLA staff are working with our event work groups to bring these educational opportunities to you later this spring. We are exploring virtual formats for some events, and working to secure dates and locations for our in-person events that are after the recommended eight-week period.

To all of our members and supporters that are registered for upcoming events, please watch for further communications as we finalize details. We ask that all those currently registered please wait for updated event details to be released before requesting to cancel your registration.

Rest assured that any attendee that is unable to attend the rescheduled event, for any reason, will receive a full refund of their registration costs. Registrants will also have the option of transferring their registration to a different program or event.

We thank you for your support and patience during this time. Watch our news and announcements webpage for the most up-to-date information.
