Academic Libraries Interest Group Seeks Nominees for Chair-elect

The MLA Academic Libraries Interest Group is accepting nominations through May 31 for the 2019-2020 Chair-elect. This position serves for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2022. Academic Libraries Interest Group members will vote for a Chair-elect in June.

The Chair-elect will serve as 2019-2020 Chair-elect, 2020-2021 Chair and 2021-2022 Past-Chair. The Chair also serves as the MLA Chapter Representative of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).

Nominees must be members of MLA, ACRL and the MLA Academic Libraries Interest Group. The 2020-2021 Chair and MLA-ACRL Chapter Representative should be able to commit to attending ACRL chapter meetings at ALA Mid-Winter or ALA Annual or preferably, both. The Chair will also solicit group members to write a monthly Interest Group update for MLA communications.

MLA will hold elections for the Academic Libraries Interest Group Chair-elect June 13-28, 2019.
