Michigan Legal Help is for people who a re handling their legal problems without a lawyer. It can help you learn ab out your legal problems and get ready for court. There are many Do-It-Yours elf tools to help you create court forms. Learn how Self-Help Navigation Ce nters have access to additional webinars and support from Michigan Legal He lp lawyers to understand court processes and procedures. Jackson District Library is a M ichigan Legal Help Self-Help Center and with that additional partnership ha s helped patrons navigate expungement of criminal records to gain better ho using and employment without the expense of a lawyer.

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, MLA m eetings or other activities constitutes an agreement by the registration to the use and distribution of the registrants or attendees' image or voice i n photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions of such events and activities by MLA.
MLA is commi tted to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all par ticipants and MLA staff. Each participant, including attendees, speakers, v olunteers, exhibitors, staff, service providers, is expected to understand and follow MLA policies and report any violations. These expectations apply to all MLA activities including those held in conjunction with MLA confere nces, events and meetings, as well as online venues and social media.
Cancellations for MLA online and virtual events must be received in writing by e-mail no later than five (5) business days prior to the program in order to qualify for a refund. Within five (5) business days of the event, no refund will be issued. Registrations received within five (5) days of the program are not eligible for a refund. No-shows will b e invoiced. A $10.00 processing fee will be applied to refunds for MLA Conn ect webinars.
