Fundraising Bootcamp – the Changing Face of Philanthropy 

In this intensive, daylong workshop, Carole J. Pence, President of Pence Consulting, will cover key fundraising concepts and strategies and provide the tools you need to begin a campaign or enhance an established giving program. You'll learn what is needed to write your case for support, the difference between a donation and cultivation of a major gift, how to solicit different types of gifts using different communication strategies as well as a brief introduction to planned giving by promoting a legacy gift through a wills program.

Carole J. Pence, MA, is President of Pence Consulting, a privately-held consulting firm based in Marquette, Michigan. 

Pence Consulting, established in 1992, has conducted training and provided consultation with hundreds of organizations throughout the State of Michigan. Carole is known for finding practical solutions for raising money and considers herself a Philanthropic Specialist. Her expertise focuses on annual, endowment and capital campaigns along with special projects and hiring development staff. She also provides technical support for writing the case for support, fund development planning and board development.

In addition to work with her firm, she is on the faculty of the IUPUI The Fund Raising School, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and trains on a national level. Carole serves as a consultant for the Council of Michigan Foundations.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing by email no later than five (5) business days prior to the program in order to qualify for a refund. A $25.00 processing fee will be applied to refunds for workshops. Within five (5) business days of the event, no refund will be issued. No-shows will be invoiced.
